We hope everyone had a wonderful time over the holidays and enjoyed their break! Now that we are about to head back for another semester we just want to tell y'all about a few things we did before break.
On December 3rd, Beta Psi hosted its first Milk and Cookies Foundation event! During dead week, everyone was invited to come eat cookies and milk and enjoy live entertainment from The Doctors and The Lawyers. It was the perfect way to take a nice study break.
We sold about 575 tickets for the event. This means we raised $2,228! Delta Gamma's Foundation received $1,782 from the event. The other $446 went to the Lakeshore Foundation.
Milk and Cookies is a big fundraiser at other schools like Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and LSU. Since this was our first time hosting this event it was definitely a great learning experience for our chapter, and so much fun. It was so great to see the dining room filled with friends from other sororities, fraternities, clubs and our Tuscaloosa alumni group! We hope Milk and Cookies continues to be a huge success every year!
On December 7th, Beta Psi had our annual Holiday Party. This years theme was Tacky Christmas! We had live entertainment from Fly by Radio. It was such a blast and we definitely cannot wait for next year!
We can't wait to see what this semester has in store for us! Don't forget to come back and see what we are up to :)
