Welcome
to the Bama Delta Gamma blog! For our first post we would like to give yall a
little recap of our past year on campus at Alabama.
The Beta Psi chapter of Delta Gamma
officially recolonized at UA in August 2011.
Meet the 2011 pledge class!
I would love to tell yall everything we have done this past year but we might be here for a while. Instead I have decided to highlight some of the things we are
most proud of.
First
of all, we moved into our amazing new house this past summer! We are so thankful for this gorgeous house and all the hard work that was put in, in order for us to have it.
Shortly after moving in we took part in our first formal recruitment. It was such an incredible
experience. We met so many amazing women and became much closer as a
chapter. Then at the end of the week we gained almost 100 gorgeous new sisters!
The
new members went on a New Member Retreat immediately after Bid Day was over.
This gave them a chance to learn a little more about Delta Gamma and bond as a
pledge class.
Our
very first Anchor Splash also took place this year. It was such a blast! We had
a wonderful turn out and the guys really got into the competitions. The synchronized swimming competition was beyond entertaining! Can't wait for next year!
Homecoming
was something we are very proud of this year. That week is always a very busy
time here at UA. We have intramural sports competitions, Paint the Town Red, dance competition and the lawn decoration competition. With this being our first homecoming
with our house we wanted our lawn decoration to be unforgettable. I like to
think we succeeded. DG won 1st place in the lawn decoration
competition this year! We were so proud of it and of our girls for all the hard work they
put into creating the design and making it come to life.

We had some pretty awesome costumes!
One of our very own sisters was named the new President of The University of Alabama!
Dr. Judy Bonner, Beta Psi.
Just this past week we put up the first Christmas tree in the Beta Psi house.
As
you can see we have been very busy and loved every minute of it! We hope you
enjoyed our little recap and will come back and see what is going on
at Bama Delta Gamma.
